恩智浦半导体宣布一项UWB产品组合的扩充——推出一种新型汽车UWB芯片。恩智浦UWB技术提供精确、安全、实时的定位功能，这是其他无线技术（如Wi-Fi、蓝牙和GPS）无法比拟的。
新技术在终端中的应用，往往给终端带来新的应用领域，甚至是一个新的生态机遇，例如蓝牙的在终端中的加入，就衍生出了无线耳机、智能家居、室内定位等应用，以及丰富的产品形态。当时间来到 2020 年下半年，更多的终端开始或打算支持 UWB 技术，也为这些终端开启了新的应用可能。
